Zelensky signs decree on providing humanitarian aid to earthquake-hit Croatia

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has signed the decree “On providing humanitarian aid to the Republic of Croatia", according to the Office of the President.

Under the decree, the Cabinet of Ministers must provide humanitarian assistance to Croatia to tackle the consequences of the emergency situation.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky expressed condolences to the Croatian people over the earthquake that struck the country in December.

"Ukraine prays for all those who suffer from this disaster and wishes strength and endurance,” Zelensky wrote on Twitter.

As reported, a magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck Croatia on December 29. At least six people were killed, more than 20 people were injured. The central part of the country, including the towns of Petrinja and Sisak, was hit the hardest.
