COVAX: Ukraine to receive over 8M doses of COVID-19 vaccine for free

"Ukraine has received formal confirmation from COVAX of a request for a COVID-19 vaccine. As Ukrinform reported, in response to Ukraine’s request, the COVAX initiative recommended preparing an infrastructure for storing and delivering vaccines.

Ukraine budgeted UAH 2.6 billion for the purchase of vaccines.

The COVID-19 vaccine is expected to arrive in Ukraine in early March 2021. Given that each person needs two doses of the vaccine, 8 million doses will be enough to vaccinate 4 million people, that is, approximately 20% of the country's population.
