Kyiv confirms 1,696 new COVID-19 cases

Kyiv city recorded 1,696 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours. Twenty-three people died, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

"Over the past day, 1,696 new coronavirus cases were recorded. Twenty-three people died. In total, the coronavirus has claimed the lives of 1,574 Kyiv residents. As of today, Kyiv city has reported 90,013 laboratory-confirmed coronavirus cases,” Klitschko posted on Telegram.

Some 98 patients were hospitalized in the past 24 hours.

Since the start of the pandemic, 28,628 Kyiv residents have overcome the disease, including 859 people over the past day.

As of December 12, Ukraine reported 885,039 COVID-19 cases, including 12,811 new coronavirus cases confirmed in the past 24 hours.
