Health Ministry names regions with highest incidence of COVID-19
In particular, the incidence rate of COVID-19 during the past 14 days in Sumy region reached 808.9 per 100,000 population, Cherkasy region – 684.1, Chernivtsi region – 653, Kyiv region – 632.1. The high incidence rate of COVID-19 was also recorded in Zhytomyr region – 626.5, Ivano-Frankivsk region (569.2), Zaporizhzhia region (628).
The incidence rate of COVID-19 in the city of Kyiv is 538.7 per 100,000 population. An average incidence rate across Ukraine is 443.2 per 100,000 population.
The bed occupancy rate at COVID-19 designated hospitals in the past five days amounted to 53.4% as of November 23. In Kyiv city, this figure amounted to 57.5% as of November 23.
The high level of bed occupancy rate was recorded in Poltava region - 75.5 %%, Cherkasy region - 66.1%, Chernihiv region - 62%, Mykolaiv region - 65.6%, and Zaporizhzhia region - 66.8%
As reported, some 12,287 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in Ukraine in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 647,976.
