Health minister: More than 23,500 hospital beds equipped to provide oxygen

In Ukraine, 23,571 hospital beds are equipped to provide oxygen to COVID-19 patients, according to Health Minister Maksym Stepanov.

"In April, we started with 3,000 beds provided with oxygen support, now we have 23,571 beds with oxygen supply. We have more than a seven-fold increase in the number [of such beds]. However, it is not the limit. We continue to increase [the number] until we are sure that we not just reach 100%, but also have a certain stockpile,” Stepanov said at a briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

As of November 19, Ukraine reported 583,510 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 13,357 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
