Health Ministry names regions with highest incidence rates of COVID-19

As of November 18, the highest incidence of COVID-19 in Ukraine was recorded in Chernivtsi, Zhytomyr and Sumy regions, according to data provided by the Health Ministry.

In particular, the incidence rate of COVID-19 during the past 14 days in Chernivtsi region reached 648 per 100,000 population, Zhytomyr region – 647, Sumy region - 633.9. The high incidence rate of COVID-19 was also recorded in Khmelnytskyi region (520.7), Ivano-Frankivsk region (548.9), Zaporizhzhia region (565.9), and Volyn region (495.5).

The lowest incidence rate of COVID-19 in the last 14 days has been reported in Kirovohrad region (117.2), Vinnytsia region (191.2), and Luhansk region (193.1).

The incidence rate of COVID-19 in the city of Kyiv is 454.1 per 100,000 population. An average incidence rate across Ukraine is 392.6 per 100,000 population.

The bed occupancy rate at COVID-19 designated hospitals in the past five days amounted to 53.7% as of November 17. In Kyiv city, this figure amounted to 54.4%.

As of November 18, Ukraine reported 570,153 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 12,496 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
