Number of foreigners visiting Ukraine decreased almost four times - State Tourism Agency

In January-September 2020, 2.7 million foreign citizens visited Ukraine, which is almost four times less than in the same period last year, when 10.7 million foreigners came to Ukraine.
Ukrinform reports this with reference of data provided by the State Agency for Tourism Development on its Telegram Channel.
During three quarters of 2020, citizens of other countries brought to Ukraine USD 244 million, compared with USD 1.62 billion spent in Ukraine by foreign nationals during 2019.
Due to quarantine restrictions and closed borders, the costs of Ukrainians traveling abroad have also dropped significantly. In the first nine months of 2020, this figure amounted to USD 3.259 billion, which is 2.2 times less than in the first nine months of 2019. "At the same time, most of this amount is currently spent by Ukrainian workers abroad," the agency reported.
