Health Ministry: Ukrainian regions not ready to ease quarantine measures

The city of Kyiv and all regions in Ukraine are not ready to ease quarantine measures introduced to prevent the spread of COVID-19, according to data provided by the Health Ministry on November 10.

The highest incidence rate of COVID-19 during the past 14 days has been recorded in Chernivtsi region (635.5 per 100,000 population), Zhytomyr region (559.8), and Khmelnytskyi region (518.3).

The lowest incidence rate of COVID-19 in the last 14 days has been reported in Kirovohrad region (112.8), Dnipropetrovsk region (155.1), and Luhansk region (196.6).

The incidence rate of COVID-19 in the city of Kyiv is 363.6 per 100,000 population. An average incidence rate across Ukraine is 324.5 per 100,000 population.

The occupancy of beds in medical institutions prepared for the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic amounted to 63.8% as of November 9.

The largest number of hospitals is occupied in Poltava region – 85.2%, Odesa region – 80.8%, and Rivne region - 79.4%. In Kyiv city, this figure amounted to 60%.

As of November 10, 479,197 COVID-19 cases were laboratory confirmed in Ukraine, including 10,179 cases recorded during the previous day.
