Almost 1,000 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in Ukraine in past day

Some 976 COVID-19 patients have been hospitalized in Ukraine in the past 24 hours, according to Health Minister Maksym Stepanov.
“Over the past day, 287 children and 363 health workers have fallen ill [with COVID-19]. Some 976 people have been hospitalized. Ukraine has confirmed 113 deaths in the past 24 hours," Stepanov said at a press briefing on October 29, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
According to the health minister, 21,430 children and 22,650 health workers in Ukraine have contracted COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.
Stepanov added that on October 28 Ukraine conducted 78,684 coronavirus tests, including 47,162 PCR and 31,522 ELISA tests.
As reported, 370,417 COVID-19 cases were laboratory confirmed in Ukraine as of October 29, including 7,342 cases recorded during the previous day.
