Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has called on companies to switch to remote work to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

He said this at a government meeting on Wednesday, October 28, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"I call on Ukrainian companies to switch to online meetings as much as possible so that we can create conditions for breaking the epidemiological chain," Shmyhal said.

He recalled that last week the Cabinet of Ministers decided to hold meetings exclusively online due to the epidemiological situation in the country.

Some 7,474 new coronavirus cases were registered in Ukraine on October 27, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 363,075.
