The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is doing everything possible to keep the coronavirus quarantine in the country adaptive.

"We really do not want and do not see a possibility of total quarantine, now we are doing everything possible to keep it adaptive. But we see that more and more orange and red [epidemiological] zones appear. Therefore, we once again urge people to be conscious: wear masks, keep social distance and bear responsibility for things that will allow us saving lives and economy," Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal told journalists after he had voted in Lviv, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

As the Prime Minister noted, Ukrainian hospitals are now much better prepared than they were in the spring. The issue of oxygen supply remains key for local leaders and municipal medical facilities. Subventions in the amount of half a billion hryvnias were transferred, and the heads of regional state administrations and mayors daily report on increasing the number of beds in hospitals and providing them with oxygen.

"There are enough beds in [hospitals in] Ukraine, the only task is to provide them with oxygen," the Prime Minister added.

According to him, the mobile hospitals are being actively set up in Kyiv city, Odesa and Donetsk regions, where the number of patients may be larger than the number of beds provided with oxygen.

As reported, the Government extended adaptive quarantine in Ukraine until the end of 2020.

As of October 25, Ukraine has reported 343,498 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 6,088 cases recorded over the past day.
