All hospitals received funds for additional payments for doctors - Stepanov

"As of today, all healthcare facilities have received funds provided for additional payments: [UAH] 1.271 billion for September and [UAH] 1.180 billion for October. The transfer of funds for October is still underway," Stepanov said at a press briefing on October 23, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

As Ukrinform reported, the Cabinet of Ministers on June 19, 2020 approved a decision to increase salaries for doctors from September 1. On September 6, Health Minister Maksym Stepanov informed that health workers would start receiving additional payments from September 2020. The government allocated almost UAH 6 billion for these payments.

Some 330,396 COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Ukraine as of October 23, including 7,517 new cases recorded during the previous day.
