Ukrainian tourism industry participants should use coronavirus quarantine to reboot.

"All tourism industry participants should use the quarantine to reboot and be ready to take advantage of the opportunities that will be created for the development of tourism when the pandemic ends. What can we, the Ministry, and the lawmakers do in this regard? A bill on the introduction of 7% of VAT on cultural services is being considered by the Parliament in the second reading. This is a significant step, which means that we are moving towards the creative industry and tourism in particular. In addition, the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation provides grants. Three programs totaling UAH 580 million have already been completed. Travel companies could apply for these grants - 10-15% applied for compensation related to quarantine losses," Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Oleksandr Tkachenko said at a round table meeting in Kharkiv, the Kharkiv Regional State Administration informs.

In June this year, the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine launched the Travel Around Ukraine project, the purpose of which is to promote domestic tourism among Ukrainian.
