Kyiv sets another temperature record

The night of October 14 in Kyiv city was the warmest one as the temperature did not fall below + 14.5° С, the Central Geophysical Observatory informs.

As noted, the previous record of +12.0° C registered in 1993 was exceeded by 2.5° C.

A total of 27 temperature records have been set in Kyiv city since the beginning of the year.

September 2020 repeated the record set in 1909: the average monthly air temperature in Kyiv was +18.4° C, exceeding the climatic norm by 4.5° C.

Summer 2020 in Kyiv was the second hottest over the past 139 years: the average air temperature was + 21.7 ° C, exceeding the climatic norm by 3° C.
