Third warmest October night in a row recorded in Kyiv

The night of October 9 in Kyiv city has turned out to be the warmest since 1889, according to the Central Geophysical Observatory named after Borys Sreznevskyi.

In particular, the temperature did not drop below + 13.4 °C on the night of October 9, which is 0.1°C above the previous air temperature maximum recorded in 1889.

The Central Geophysical Observatory noted that this was the third warmest night in a row in Kyiv in October.

As reported, the temperature did not drop below +15.1 °C on the night of October 8, which is 1.5°C above the previous air temperature maximum recorded in 1893. On the night of October 7, the temperature did not fall below +14.5°С, which is 0.7°C above the previous air temperature maximum recorded in 1893.

Overall, 27 temperature records have been updated in Kyiv since the beginning of 2020.
