Almost 3M tourists visit Kherson region this year

In 2020, almost 3 million tourists have visited Kherson region, including 48 thousand guests from Poland, France, the USA, Sweden, the UK, Germany, Estonia, Turkey and Italy.

Head of the Tourism and Resorts Department of Kherson Regional State Administration Mykola Shapoval said this during a conference call on Monday, October 5, Ukrinform reported with reference to the press service of Kherson Regional State Administration.

“We’ve spent this summer tourist season under the slogan “Kherson region is incredible.” Therefore, all work was aimed at ensuring that guests visiting our incredible land have the same feeling. For eight months of this year, Kherson region was visited by almost 3 million tourists, including about 48 thousand foreign guests. During this period, the budgets of all levels received UAH 2.5 million in tourist tax payments," Shapoval said.

According to him, the majority of tourists came to Kherson region from Odesa, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions. Among the foreign guests were citizens of Poland, France, the USA, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Germany, Estonia, Turkey and Italy.
