Kharkiv region records highest number of new coronavirus cases in past day

The highest number of new COVID-19 cases in the past day have been confirmed in Kharkiv region, according to Health Minister Maksym Stepanov.
“Over the last day, the highest number of confirmed cases have been registered in Kharkiv region - 446, including Kharkiv city - 285, Sumy region - 285, including Sumy city - 178, Donetsk region - 226, Dnipropetrovsk region - 206, Kyiv city – 286," Stepanov said at a press briefing on October 5, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
As the number of coronavirus patients is growing in Ukraine, the health minister has urged local government bodies to adhere to quarantine rules established in the country.
As of October 5, Ukraine recorded a total of 230,236 COVID-19 cases, including 3,774 cases confirmed over the previous day.
