Acting Minister Shkarlet: UAH 1.4B provided for reform of New Ukrainian School in 2021

Acting Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Shkarlet has stated that the government has increased funding for the reform of the New Ukrainian School up to UAH 1.4 billion for the next year, the ministry’s press service reports.

“With the support of the President and the Government of Ukraine, the reform of the New Ukrainian School has been extended and funding has been increased for 2021. The draft state budget envisages UAH 1.4 billion of subvention for the New Ukrainian School," Shkarlet said.

The funds of the educational subvention for the New Ukrainian School are allocated for the purchase of teaching materials and equipment for primary school classrooms; inventory for physical training and sports facilities, as well as educational, methodical and educational literature, notebooks with a printed basis for pilot schools. The funds are also provided for professional development of teachers and conducting supervision.
