Kyiv to receive 200 new modern buses by year-end – Klitschko
"We are upgrading the capital's public transport fleet, despite the fight against the pandemic and the crisis it caused. By the end of this year, the city will receive 200 new modern buses, in particular 80 buses of 12 meters in length and 120 of almost 19 meters in length. These will be low-floor buses that meet the requirements for the transportation of persons with reduced mobility. The deliveries will be carried out on a lease basis. We expect to receive the first batch - about 100 buses – in October, and the rest - until the end of the year," Klitschko said during an online press conference on Monday, September 14.
According to the mayor, the restrictions imposed by the government due to the capital's entry into the "orange" quarantine zone will not affect a public transport timetable. Klitschko urged the people of Kyiv to comply with the necessary rules in public transport.
