Zhytomyr region should develop tourism and recreation – Zelensky

He said this during the presentation of the development strategy of Zhytomyr region until 2027, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Zhytomyr region is a truly unique region ... Your region has unique natural and climatic conditions. There are over 200 natural reserve objects, many of which are of national importance. This opens up tremendous opportunities for the development of the tourism and recreation industry in Zhytomyr region," Zelensky said.

The President stressed that 85% of all titanium ore reserves of Ukraine and 80% of all quartzite mining were concentrated in the region. The head of state also drew attention to the agrarian potential of the region.

As reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky was on a working trip to Zhytomyr region on September 8.
