Ukraine conducted almost 50,000 coronavirus tests in past day – Stepanov

Health Minister Maksym Stepanov stated that almost 50,000 tests for COVID-19 were conducted in Ukraine on September 3.
“Over the course of the previous day, a total of 49,785 tests were conducted, including 25,483 PCR tests. This is a record number, as we have not performed more than 25,000 tests a day. We are moving towards the commitments we have undertaken so that to significantly increase the number of tests. The number of ELISA tests [conducted on September 3] totaled 24,302,” Stepanov said at a briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
The health minister has also noted that Ukrainian laboratories are provided with COVID-19 test systems for up to two months
As reported, Ukraine reported 130,951 coronavirus cases on September 4, including 2,723 new cases confirmed over the previous day.
