Ninety-five children contract coronavirus over past day - Stepanov

Ninety-five children in Ukraine have contracted coronavirus over the past 24 hours, Health Minister Maksym Stepanov has said.
"Some 1,658 people, including 95 children and 73 health workers, have fallen ill over the past 24 hours. Some 296 people have been hospitalized. Over the past 24 hours, 25 people have died and 346 patients have recovered," Stepanov said at a briefing on Tuesday, August 25.
He noted that 108,415 patients in Ukraine, including 7,362 children and 10,614 health workers, are currently battling the disease.
The largest number of new coronavirus cases in Ukraine in the past 24 hours was recorded in the Chernivtsi region (204), the Ivano-Frankivsk region (179), the Kharkiv region (173), the Ternopil – region (158) and the Odesa region (112).
