U.S. Embassy donates PPE against COVID-19 to Ukrainian law enforcement officers

The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine has donated personal protective equipment (PPE) against COVID-19 to Ukrainian law enforcement agencies.

"As part of our international technical assistance, the U.S. Embassy's International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs office donated approximately $250,000 worth of personal protective equipment against COVID-19 to our Ukrainian partners at the National Police, State Border Guard Service, and the State Customs Service," the embassy wrote in a statement published on its Facebook page.

As of August 15, Ukraine reported 89,719 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 1,847 new cases recorded over the past 24 hours.
