Red Cross, UN send over 100 tonnes of humanitarian aid to occupied Donbas

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) have sent eight trucks with humanitarian aid to the temporarily occupied territory of Donbas, according to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

"Today, August 13, four trucks carrying 21.5 tonnes of humanitarian aid, consisting of pumping and electrical equipment, pipes and cables, from the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees crossed the Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint," reads the report.

Another four vehicles carrying over 80 tonnes of food products from the Red Cross crossed the Novotroitske checkpoint.

As reported, on August 5 and August 12, 2020, the Red Cross sent a total of 94 tonnes of humanitarian aid to the occupied Donbas.
