Kyiv reports 101 new coronavirus cases

The city of Kyiv has confirmed 101 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

"Another 101 Kyiv residents contracted coronavirus over the past day. Two people have died. Over the entire period, Kyiv has confirmed 134 deaths related to the disease. The total number of coronavirus cases in the capital has reached 8,342," Klitschko wrote on Facebook.

In particular, 39 women aged 19-84 years, three girls aged 12, 16 and 17 years, and 59 men aged 18-81 years tested positive.

According to Klitschko, 23 people were hospitalized.

In total, 2,981 people have recovered from the disease, including 40 in the past 24 hours.

As of August 1, Ukraine reports 71,056 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases.
