Medical institutions in Ukraine receive UAH 2.5B for treatment of COVID-19

In April-June 2020, healthcare institutions that treated patients with the coronavirus disease and suspected COVID-19 received almost UAH 2.5 billion under contracts with the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU).

"The National Health Service paid almost UAH 2.5 billion to health institutions for the provision of medical care to patients with COVID-19 and suspected COVID-19 in April-June," the NHSU reports on Facebook.

In total, in April-June, 18,724 patients with coronavirus were hospitalized in health institutions. Some 3,472 patients received intensive care.

As of July 27, Ukraine reported 65,656 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 1,616 deaths and 36,122 recoveries. Some 807 new cases were confirmed in the previous day.
