Kyiv reports 116 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours

The city of Kyiv has confirmed 116 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

"Another 116 Kyiv residents have tested positive for coronavirus in the previous day. The total number of cases in Kyiv reached 6,613," he wrote on Facebook.

Among the Kyiv residents who have contracted COVID-19 in the past day are 62 women aged 21-86 years; two girls aged 15 and 16 years; 50 men aged 18-81 years; and 2 boys aged 6 and 8 years old.

In total, 2,160 city residents have overcome the disease and 126 died since the start of the pandemic.

As reported, Ukraine's total cases of COVID-19 reached 56,455 as of July 16, including 848 new cases confirmed in the previous day.
