The Ukrainian government plans to create an E-veteran online platform, Director of the Social Policy Directorate of the Ministry for Veterans’ Affairs, Ruslan Kuchuk has stated.

“The creation of an E-veteran platform is one of the government's programs. The register will exist to record information on all veterans who receive benefits and on family members of those killed. Its purpose is to identify and provide information on their number and their needs and for information relating to benefits. To do this, the budget requests procedure will be eased so that we can more easily explain financial and economic benefits with such persons,” he said at a briefing on July 8, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

According to Kuchuk, the Ministry for Veterans’ Affairs has already established a register of participants in ATO/JFO anti-terrorist operations. The register currently numbers about 380,000 combat veterans, about 10,000 veterans with disabilities and about 8,000 family members of those killed.
