Kyiv Airport not to handle flights until June 17

The Igor Sikorsky Kyiv International Airport (Zhuliany) does not handle scheduled international passenger flights until 03:00 on June 17 due to the extension of the COVID-19 quarantine in the capital.

“The Kyiv International Airport does not handle scheduled international passenger flights until 03:00 (local time) on 17 June 2020 due to the extension of COVID-19 quarantine in Kyiv, according to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 392 of 20 May 2020,” the press service of the Airport posted on Facebook.

Passengers are urged to closely monitor the flight schedule and contact airlines’ representatives to specify flight details.

Earlier, the Kyiv International Airport announced the resumption of flights from June 16.

In particular, Belavia, LOT, WizzAir airlines announced their readiness to resume international flights from the Kyiv Airport on June 16, and Motor Sich was ready to operate flight to Zaporizhzhia city.

The flights on following routes were expected to be resumed from June 16: Belavia - Minsk (Belarus); LOT - Warsaw (Poland); WizzAir - Billund (Denmark), Athens (Greece), Berlin (Germany), Vilnius (Lithuania), Nuremberg (Germany) ), Larnaca (Cyprus), Vienna (Austria), Bremen (Germany), Riga (Latvia), Lisbon (Portugal), Hanover (Germany), Gdansk (Poland).

Adaptive quarantine is in force in Ukraine until June 22. That is, the restrictive measures are gradually eased depending on the epidemic situation in each region.

At the same time, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a decision to resume domestic air services in Ukraine from June 5 and international air services from June 15.
