Some 263 Ukrainians have returned to Ukraine from Canada by Toronto-Kyiv flight.

Ukraine’s Ambassador to Canada Andriy Shevchenko wrote about this on his Facebook page on June 14.

“Toronto-Kyiv flight. 263 Ukrainians returned home. We hope that we will no longer need special flights,” the diplomat wrote.

As reported, on March 12, the Government introduced quarantine in Ukraine to counter the spread of COVID-19.

On March 28, Ukraine completely closed its border for scheduled passenger services, including air services.

On May 20, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to move to a so-called adaptive lockdown model from May 22 to June 22.

At the same time, the Government decided to resume domestic flights from June 5 and international flights from June 15.
