The Slovak Republic has provided Ukraine with three ambulances, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has reported.

“Today, these vehicles help us in the fight against coronavirus and Russian aggression. Our people who live on the contact line are not alone. European states, in this particular case Slovakia, help and support them,” Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Vasyl Bodnar said during the official ceremony of transferring humanitarian assistance from the Slovak Republic to the Ukrainian side.

As reported, certificates for three Mercedes Benz Sprinter ambulances were officially handed over to the Ukrainian side in Stanytsia Luhanska on November 28, 2019 during a working visit of Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia Miroslav Lajcak to Ukraine.

On May 25, 2020, the ambulances arrived in Kyiv and will be delivered by the official recipient, the international charitable organization International Medical Care, to Luhansk Region for the needs of the Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint.
