Foreign Ministry: 161 Ukrainians with COVID-19 being treated abroad

Some 16,724 Ukrainians have applied to Ukrainian diplomatic establishments abroad for assistance within the Zakhyst (Protection) program, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has written on Facebook.  

According to the ministry, 161 Ukrainians infected with the coronavirus COVID-19 are being treated abroad, including 121 – in Italy.

In particular, Ukrainians are being treated in: Australia -1, Austria – 3, Spain – 4, Greece – 12, Italy – 121, Malta – 1, Nigeria – 1, Portugal – 1, Russia – 2, Serbia – 1, USA - 2, Thailand – 1, Germany – 4, Czech Republic – 6, Sweden – 1.

According to the ministry, 56 Ukrainians have recovered from the coronavirus. At the same time, seven Ukrainians have died from complications related to the disease.

According to Worldometer's latest statistics, 2,725,920 coronavirus cases have been reported worldwide, including 745,905 cases of recovery and 191,061 deaths.
