Ukraine buys 176 ventilators since March 1 – health minister

Ukraine has purchased 176 medical ventilators since March 1, 2020, Health Minister Maksym Stepanov states.
"The total number of ventilators, which were additionally purchased since March 1 and installed in hospitals to treat patients with COVID-19, is 176," Stepanov said at a briefing on April 17, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
According to him, the number of ventilators is constantly increasing.
According to the Public Health Center of the Ukrainian Health Ministry, 4,662 COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Ukraine as of 09:00 on April 17. A total of 125 people died from complications related to the disease, and 246 recovered. Some 501 new cases were recorded in Ukraine over the past 24 hours.
