Affordable Medicines program: One million e-prescriptions issued during quarantine

Since the beginning of quarantine in Ukraine, doctors have written out one million e-prescriptions under the program Affordable Medicines, the National Health Service has reported.

"During the quarantine period - from March 12 to April 9 - family doctors wrote out over one million e-prescriptions for ‘Affordable Medicines’. Of these, 910,000 have already been reimbursed," reads the report.

It notes that over 420,000 patients have already received e-prescriptions during this time. Of whom, 63,000 have joined the Affordable Medicines program during quarantine.

The Affordable Medicines pprogram was launched on April 1, 2017. It provides for the reimbursement of medicines for cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes and bronchial asthma.
