Kyiv sends almost 4.5 mln batteries to Romania for recycling

Kyiv city has sent almost 4.5 million used batteries to Romania for recycling.

Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Petro Panteleev wrote about this on his Facebook page.

“In Kyiv today, almost 4.5 million batteries have been sent for recycling. They have been collected in orange containers for the hazardous waste of Municipal Enterprise Kyivkomunservis. It is about 70 tonnes. Thank you to all those who collected and continue to collect batteries and leave them in special containers. Your efforts are not in vain," Panteleev wrote.

He added that batteries would be transferred to the plant GreenWEEE in Romania.
