This was discussed at the daily conference call of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky with representatives of the government and state agencies involved in preventing the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus disease in Ukraine, the press service of the Head of State informs.
The President emphasized that the conditions in the observation facilities should be comfortable for people.
"All the facilities must be checked, there must be the necessary conditions for isolation and certainly for comfortable living," Zelensky said.
In turn, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, the Secretary of the Coordination Council for Prevention of Spread of COVID-19, said that protective clothing, masks and goggles had already been sent to those facilities – hotels and health centers – for the arriving guests.
In addition, the rotation of people under observation was discussed.
It was decided to test the Ukrainians arriving from abroad on the fifth to sixth day after departure. If they are tested negative, they will be sent home for self-isolation.
Chairman of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Serhiy Deyneko noted that the passenger traffic had halved and there were no more queues on the border.
Interior Minister Arsen Avakov added that the number of crimes and road accidents had reduced amidst the quarantine.
