Ukraine to receive another 100,000 COVID-19 PCR diagnostic kits – Liashko

Deputy Health Minister - Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Liashko said this at a briefing today, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We are provided with tests. We already have 50,000 test kits. Today, another 100,000 PCR diagnostic kits are expected to arrive Ukraine. We also expect to receive soon about 20,000 kits to conduct 2 million studies for PCR diagnostics," Liashko said.

He noted that each virology laboratory can carry out at least 200 tests per day. At the same time, there are much more powerful laboratories that can conduct up to 2,000 tests per day. "We have created an expert team of leading Ukrainian virologists, who help all laboratories set up testing algorithms," he said.

As of 10:00, March 30, Ukraine had 480 laboratory-confirmed coronavirus cases.
