Ukraine confirms 218 coronavirus cases – Health Ministry

Ukraine has 218 laboratory-confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Deputy Health Minister - Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Liashko said this at a briefing on March 27, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Over the past day, we recorded 62 new coronavirus cases. Thus, in total, we already have 218 cases, including five deaths,” Liashko said.

In particular, coronavirus cases were confirmed in: Vinnytsia region – 5 cases; Volyn region – 2 cases; Dnipropetrovsk region – three cases; Donetsk region – 2 cases; Zaporizhzhia region – 8 cases; Zakarpattia region – 1 case; Zhytomyr region – 2 cases (1 death); Ivano-Frankivsk region – 24 cases (2 deaths); Kyiv city – 47 cases; Kyiv region – 32 cases; Lviv region – 3 cases; Luhansk region – 1 case; Odesa region – 4 cases; Rivne region – 9 cases; Ternopil region – 25 cases (1 death); Kherson region – 1 case; Cherkasy region – 2 cases; Chernivtsi region – 47 cases (1 death).

As of the morning of March 27, 533,015 people were infected with the novel coronavirus worldwide, of which 124,387 recovered and 24,093 died.
