Germany allocates EUR 4 mln for Red Cross activities in Ukraine

Germany will allocate another EUR 4 million for humanitarian activities of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Ukraine, German Federal Foreign Office has reported.
“The Federal Government is increasing financial support for humanitarian activities of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Ukraine in 2020 by an additional EUR 4 million,” the statement reads.
The money will be provided in addition to the previously promised EUR 2 million. It is estimated that EUR 2 million will also be allocated in 2021.
In total, Germany will allocate EUR 12.3 million for the ICRC’s humanitarian work in Ukraine from 2019 to 2021.
