Over 180 Ukrainian servicemen have undergone medical rehabilitation in Bulgaria, the Ministry of Veterans, Temporarily Occupied Territories and IDPs of Ukraine has reported on Telegram.

"Another group of defenders of Ukraine who underwent medical rehabilitation in Bulgaria arrived at Boryspil International Airport on February 22, 2020. Since the beginning of the project, 188 veterans have already received such rehabilitation," the report reads.

Rehabilitation is provided at Kaleroya Hospital in Hisarya. The rehabilitation period is no more than two weeks.

Expenditure related to physiotherapy and hospital placement is provided by the Bulgarian side, whereas expenses related to international and local transportation, medical insurance and nutrition during medical rehabilitation are provided by NATO's medical rehabilitation trust fund for Ukraine.

In the next two years, it is planned to rehabilitate about 300 people without attracting financial expenses from the Ukrainian side.
