Kyiv tourism to be presented in UAE instead of China
The Tourism and Promotion Department of Kyiv City State Administration reported this on its Facebook page.
"On January 30, 2020, the Director-General of the World Health Organization decided to declare a public health emergency of international concern in connection with the outbreak of coronavirus in the People's Republic of China. Considering this, our Department decided to refuse to participate in the ITB China Travel Trade Show, which will be held in Shanghai (China) on May 13-15, 2020," the statement reads.
Kyiv City State Administration plans to compensate for the refusal to take part in the ITB China by participating in the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) international travel and tourism event. It will last from April 19 to April 22, 2020, in Dubai (the United Arab Emirates).
In total, about 2,500 exhibitors from 153 countries of the world will take part in Arabian Travel Market, including 60 national travel agencies from Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Southern and Central Africa, the USA and Southeast Asia, and about 28,000 influential figures of the tourism industry.
