Fifty-four Ukrainians agree to be evacuated from Wuhan – media
"The Ukrainian citizens will be evacuated from the Hubei province of China, where quarantine was announced due to 2019-nCoV coronavirus outbreak, in the coming days," the Voice of America reports with reference to the Embassy of Ukraine in the People's Republic of China.
As noted, 54 Ukrainians staying in Hubei province have expressed their desire to be evacuated to the homeland.
The other day, the Embassy of Ukraine received the consent of the Chinese authorities to the evacuation of fellow citizens by a Ukrainian charter flight from Wuhan.
The United States, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, South Korea, Turkey, Egypt, India and Russia have already evacuated their citizens from Wuhan.
Last week, Ukraine took its citizens from the southern region of China, where quarantine had not been announced.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and consulates of Ukraine in China are gathering information about citizens who want to leave China as the evacuation of Ukrainian citizens is planned preliminarily this week.
As of January 31, there were 57 Ukrainian citizens in Hubei, China, where 2019-nCoV coronavirus spread.
