Health Ministry: No case of novel coronavirus in Ukraine

No case of lab-confirmed novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) has been registered in Ukraine as of January 30, the Ukrainian Health Ministry has written on Facebook.

“As of January 30, 2020, a total of 7,783 cases of lab-confirmed novel coronavirus including 170 deaths have been reported across the world. In addition to China, 17 cases have been reported from other countries. In Ukraine, no cases of novel coronavirus infection have been registered,” reads the statement.

The ministry notes that the Emergency Committee on the novel coronavirus under the International Health Regulations will be reconvened by the World Health Organization Director-General on January 30 to discuss whether the current 2019-nCoV outbreak constitutes a public health emergency of international concern.

As reported, cases of pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) have been reported in China since December 2019

Cases of the coronavirus have been already confirmed in 17 countries outside of China.

The number of deaths from the virus have reached 170 people as of January 30, with a total of 7,783 people infected.
