Four million people have left Ukraine since 2010
Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Dmytro Dubilet revealed the corresponding migration data on his Telegram channel.
“Let me share with you one of the most important graphs for Ukraine. Migration data since 2010. And also an unexpected conclusion that can be drawn,” the minister wrote.
According to Dubilet, almost four million Ukrainians have stayed abroad since 2010.
“Migration is of clearly cyclic nature. There is a constant upward trend. The exception is 2014. Apparently, this is due to the beginning of the war and the lack of migration records in the occupied territories,” the official noted.
At the same time, he said, the visa-free regime has not significantly affected the final migration figures and balance. “I explain this with regrouping as people have started to travel less to Russia (at least officially) and more to Europe. Well, we will make every effort for the economy to grow faster and Ukrainians have fewer reasons to leave the homeland... ”
