Denisova in Jerusalem discusses ratification of social security agreement

In a post on her Facebook page, she wrote: “I’m staying with the team on a working visit to Jerusalem, as part of which a meeting was held with Director General of the Knesset of Israel, Mr. Albert Sakharovich. During the meeting, we discussed the ratification by Ukraine of the Social Security Agreement with Israel, which Israel ratified back in 2017”.

According to her, in order to develop this process, the Social Policy Ministry of Ukraine needs to receive up-to-date information on the number of Ukrainian citizens who have left for permanent residence in Israel and are entitled to pension payments.

“We separately discussed the problematic issues arising when Ukrainian citizens cross the Israeli border, because 5,800 Ukrainians have been denied entry to Israel,” she said.

At the same time, she noted that a positive step towards solving this problem is "the implementation of the Declaration on the intensification of cooperation, which was signed in July 2019 between the Interior Ministry of Ukraine and Israel in order to stop the massive entry denials for citizens of the two states."

"In addition, I will soon send relevant motions to the National Insurance Institute of Israel in order to get up-to-date statistics on the number of our citizens who permanently reside in Israel and are entitled to pension payments," she said.
