UN sends over 24 tonnes of humanitarian aid to occupied Donbas

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has sent three trucks carrying humanitarian aid to the temporarily occupied territories of Donbas, according to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

"Yesterday three trucks carrying humanitarian aid from the mission of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees to the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine crossed the Novotroitske checkpoint," reads the report.

The State Border Guard Service noted that the total weight of humanitarian cargo consisting of furniture and household goods made up 24.635 tonnes.

As Ukrinform reported, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) sent four trucks carrying over 23 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Donbas on December 12.
