Gontareva unaware of probe into arson attack against her house

She told this in an interview with Radio NV.

"Actually, I know nothing. We are waiting for at least something to become known. Of course, I'm very curious whether the police will [conduct] a real investigation or will follow the policies of the party," Gontareva said.

She said that she also gets no information from law enforcement agencies in London about the investigation into an incident in which a car ran over her foot.

"Even in London, the police have not yet informed me whether the incident was accidental or a planned one. Therefore, I did not expect [Ukraine] to tell me that in a month. Of course, I'm eagerly waiting when they announce it," Gontareva added.

Gontareva's house near Kyiv was burnt down in the early hours of September 17. Kyiv regional police said they were considering an arson attack as a theory. Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said that an arson attack against Gontareva's house was an unacceptable manifestation of criminal pressure. The Presidential Office said that solving this crime should be a priority for law enforcement agencies.

On August 30, Gontareva said that she had been struck by a car in central London and that she had been operated on.
