Italian low-cost carrier Ernest Airlines will open five new routes from Ukraine to Venice, Bari, Trieste, Bologna and Milan in the near future.

“We are pleased to open five new destinations that will connect Ukraine and Italy. From December 18, flights from Milan to Odesa will start to be operated. Later, we will launch Venice-Kyiv, Bologna-Lviv, Bari-Kyiv and Trieste-Kyiv flights,” said Ernest Airlines President Chady El Tannir during the opening of carrier’s office in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

He noted that the company had already carried 500,000 passengers on flights between Ukraine and Italy and intended to increase its passenger flow up to 1 million people annually.

Ernest Airlines entered the Ukrainian market in October 2017. Currently, the Italian low-cost carrier operates flights on 40 routes between Italy and Ukraine from four Ukrainian cities: Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv and Odesa.
