Zelensky signs decree on Patient Safety Day in Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree to mark Patient Safety Day in Ukraine on September 17.

The relevant document, No.648/2019, has been published on the president’s website.

"To establish Patient Safety Day in Ukraine, which is celebrated annually on September 17 - World Patient Safety Day," the document says.

The decree stipulates that the decision was made to "recognize the safety of patients as one of the important elements of providing quality medical aid and support decision of the 72nd session of the World Health Assembly."
