Ukrainian in Australia awarded for promotion of multicultural relations

The president of the Association of Ukrainians in South Australia, Frank Fursenko, has been awarded for the development of multicultural communities.

"Congratulations to our President, Frank Fursenko who on Tuesday, 30 July 2019 received the Multicultural Communities Council of SA's (MCCSA) "Certificate of Appreciation" award at a reception at Government House Adelaide," the Association of Ukrainians in SA reports on its Facebook page.

This prestigious award, for contributions made to support and promote multicultural communities, was presented to five former members of the MCCSA executive committee by His Excellency Hieu Van Le, Governor of South Australia.

The MCCSA is the peak body representing 115 ethnic organizations with South Australia.

Frank was a member of the MCCSA Management Committee from 1994 to 2003, and held the titles of Secretary and Public Officer between 1996 and 1998.
